The Vanport Placemarking Project's mission it to preserve the history of Vanport. The Project will create historic markers and an interpretive center to honor the significant structural, natural resources and cultural history of the former Vanport. This project will identify key sites of Vanport, along a publicly accessible route, so visitors can become aware of the unique history of Vanport.

The Vernonia Hands on Art Center was established in 1996 following a devastating flood to provide art therapy for children. Over the past twenty years, the vision has broadened; and a wide variety of projects and programs related to the arts and the community's heritage have been offered. The organization's mission is to provide a high quality learning environment that celebrates the creative spirit by exposing the community to the arts and honors the community’s heritage.

The Verona Studio is a small, black-box theater located in the historic Reed Opera House in downtown Salem. Our focus is on contemporary playwrights, with an occasional classic thrown in for good measure. We strive to challenge our audiences (and our actors) with work that is provocative and relevant to what is happening in our community, state and nation.

The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance was formed in the spring of 2004 by a small group of musicians and educators to foster the growth of music communities in Wallowa County, Oregon, and throughout the rural inland Northwest, including eastern Oregon, eastern Washington, Idaho, and western Montana, by connecting music educators with students, and encouraging a widening participation in music of all genres, with particular emphasis on lifelong music education for all demographics.

Founded 1975, WMHPC promotes awareness of the legacies of US Senator Wayne Morse and stewardship for historical resources at his family home, now a city park, in Eugene. Assists the City of Eugene in preserving the park as a National Historical Site; interprets a collection of Morse family and political memorabilia; offers the Wayne Morse Legacy Scholarship to inspire students to the Morse qualities of integrity, independence, strong principles, and commitment to public service. The Welsh Society of Oregon is a cultural non-profit organization whose mission is to develop, promote, and perpetuate Welsh heritage, culture, and music in Oregon. Founded in 1917 as The Cambrian Society, we now include the Welsh Red Dragon Choir. We host social, literary, and musical events and maintain a lending library, as well as participating in All-Celtic events. We became a 501(3)(c) organization in 2014.

West African Cultural Arts Institute (WACAI) focuses on educational programs through the cultural arts of West Africa and charitable programs in Guinea, West Africa. WACAI does this by offering community dance classes and drum workshops for kids and adults, residency and assembly programs in the schools, lecture/demonstrations for college courses, community outreach events and performances, a study abroad program, and charitable projects that benefit communities in Guinea.

The mission of the West Linn Community Chorus is to share the joy of music and enrich the community through quality choral performance. It provides an opportunity for singers of all levels from West Linn and surrounding communities to experience and share the joy of music. The chorus challenges singers to grow through practice and performance and to bring quality music to audiences of all ages. The chorus is sponsored in part by the City of West Linn.

The mission of the West Linn Historical Society (WLHS) is to provide education to the community about the cultural heritage of West Linn, Oregon. The organization engages in research, interpretation, celebration, and preservation of our collective histories.

Music and Arts Partners is a volunteer, nonprofit organization made up of caring parents that works to fill the funding gaps for arts and music in the West Linn – Wilsonville school district. MAP works to secure adequate resources for all arts programs, provides grants to teachers for classroom supplies and artist residencies, scholarships for graduating seniors and supports and links arts educators. Funding is gained through memberships, outside grants and fund-raising efforts.

The WAAAM Air and Auto Museum has one of the largest collections of still-flying antique aeroplanes and still-driving antique automobiles in the country. The items on display at this museum are not only full of history, they're full of LIFE!

The WOU Foundation exists to strengthen relationships and provide resources needed to serve and support Western Oregon University. It provides WOU with the resources it needs to fulfill its goals of offering college level education to an increasing number of Oregon residents, reducing financial barriers to higher education through scholarships, securing high quality faculty and facilities that graduates need to perform in the global economy, and providing an exceptional student experience.

Since 2000, Hamersly Library has had dedicated galleries for exhibitions. These exhibit spaces provide WOU faculty and students a place to showcase their skills and talents as an extension of the classroom. The library has hosted exhibits curated by faculty and students on topics/issues that they have been studying. The exhibits also provide a way for the library to extend resources – to find cultural and artistic information from curators outside the university and to bring it to the campus.

The mission of the Western Railway Preservation Society is to collect, preserve, display, interpret and operate historic narrow gauge railroad equipment from the Western United States, in order to preserve this history of American railroading and the stories of the people that worked on them for the education and enjoyment of future generations.

White Bird was founded by Walter Jaffe and Paul King in Portland, Oregon in July 1997 and became a 503(c)(3) non-profit organization in July 1999. White Bird is committed to bringing the best Portland-based, regional, national and international dance companies to Portland, Oregon. The Whiteside Theatre Foundation supports a multi-purpose entertainment and events venue in the restored historic Whiteside Theatre that enhances the economic vitality and cultural diversity of downtown Corvallis for the benefit of the entire community.

Founded in 1995 by Catherine Levi, Willamette Apprentice Ballet seeks to provide quality education in Vaganova-based classical Ballet technique to advanced and pre-professional dancers throughout Benton and Linn Counties, as well as providing high quality, yet affordable, performances throughout Oregon. Our new Education Endowment allows us to bring prestigious guest teachers to our affiliated studio, Corvallis Academy of Ballet, with partial or full scholarships for our student dancers.

The Willamette Art Center is Salem’s only community ceramic arts center since 2005. The Willamette Art Center operates as the public face of the Friends of the Visual Arts, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving our community through art educational and community enrichment. The Willamette Falls Heritage Area Coalition is a partnership of many public, private, and nonprofit organizations that share a common passion for the Willamette Falls, its heritage, and the experiences of visitors to the falls from near and far.

Willamette Falls Heritage Foundation, a small all-volunteer nonprofit, has been preserving & sharing stories of human enterprise and the power of Willamette Falls since 2001, focusing on historic industrial sites clustered on the West Linn side of the Falls. A few strategies: powerful advocacy, through partnerships; education, through a mill oral history project; access and preservation, through publication of that history; and outreach through heritage events like Lock Fest and powerhouse art.

Our mission is to champion and sustain a world-class Willamette Falls experience that offers year-round access to the grandeur of the Falls, historic and cultural interpretation, healthy habitat, public open spaces, and that showcases the hospitality of historic Oregon City.

Willamette Girlchoir is comprised of four choirs for girls in grades 2 through 12 providing each girl the opportunity to develop their musical skills in a safe, group atmosphere. We perform at three concerts a year as well as several community events.

The Jazz Station currently serves as the only jazz venue in Oregon outside of Portland. Our club has been a mainstay for over 15 years located in the heart of downtown Eugene. We are a 70-seat capacity non-profit all-age venue that offers musicians, students and community members a neighborly, intimate place to share in the musical moment, not unlike the storied clubs where the spirit of jazz originally blossomed. We reside on the downtown Eugene entertainment corridor; between The Shedd on one end of Broadway St. and The Contemporary Theatre located on the other. The venue is operated by the Willamette Jazz Society, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and powered by a team of passionate and dedicated volunteers. A community of over 120 members provides the core of support through monthly memberships. Audiences at The Jazz Station are known to be active and respectful listeners, and open to a diverse and eclectic calendar of musical offerings during the year.

Adult community band comprised of members throughout the mid valley. We perform concerts for the community.

The Willamette Valley Genealogical Society was organized in December, 1968, to create and foster the study of family history, to aid in the publication of local history, and to aid in the establishment of materials in local genealogical library collections. WVGS's collection of books, CDs and microfilm is housed at Salem Public Library. Our major outreach is having volunteers available to assist researchers at no cost, along with a monthly program.

The orchestra is a community-based, volunteer organization comprised of 50-60 musicians primarily from the beautiful Willamette Valley and as far as the Oregon coast. Members of the orchestra share a common passion for making music. WVS members come from various walks of life; there are nurses, teachers, artists, business executives, among many other life callings. 

WVS is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals in the local Willamette Valley. The organization fulfills its mission by providing a place for musicians to thrive and play quality music and to share these rich musical programs with the surrounding community. WVS also endeavors to collaborate with other artists and cultural organizations in the Willamette Valley further enhancing its programs and broadening community outreach.

The Wilsonville Arts & Culture Council (WA&CC) is a volunteer 501(c)(3) "Presenting" organization. Its major project is the annual production of the Wilsonville Festival of Arts (WFoA). The festival occurs the weekend after the last day of class for Wilsonville High School seniors. The WA&CC Board of Directors holds leadership positions on the WFoA Planning Committee with a "Call for Adult volunteers " in the Fall. WFoA planning meetings are held January to June.

Wilsonville Community Arts Society exists to celebrate the choral heritage of Wilsonville and build community through singing.

Wilsonville Friends of the Library has the mission to enhance the Library's value throughout the community. The goals include providing financial support to the Library by overseeing the Twice Sold Tales bookstore, supporting children's interest in reading, and facilitating volunteer opportunities at the Library.

The Foundation was established in 1998. It works to supplement the Library's budget of public dollars in order to fund benefits the Library would otherwise be unable to provide for its service area. The Foundation supports the goals and priorities of the Library and works closely with the administration to fund projects which address the needs identified in the Library's Strategic Plan. Its mission is to foster excellence in the Wilsonville Public Library.

Wind and Oar formed in 2011 to provide STEAM education to under-served youth in the Portland Metro region by building wooden boats, many of which are works of art. Wind and Oar currently serves students in five area school districts with programs for fifth grade students through high school seniors. Wind & Oar also provides summer programs to other youth serving organizations.

Wisdom of the Elders records and preserves oral history and cultural arts of exemplary Native Americans and shares it in multimedia productions and public events. We integrate Native American cultural arts - music, dance, storytelling and traditional arts - into Wisdom’s Climate and Native Wisdom films, radio and TV series and culturally-tailored multimedia STEAM curriculum. Public events held since 1993 includes 11 years of Northwest Indian Storytelling Festivals and our upcoming Film Festival

Organized in 1934, the Women's Choral Society (WCS) was Eugene's first all-women's choir. Since its beginning, WCS has continued to make three important contributions to the musical life of the local community: • Scholarships for music students at the University of Oregon • Concert music of variety and quality, both in public concerts and in assisted living facilities for those who cannot attend regular concerts • Bonds of friendship and joy from working and singing together

The mission of WorldOregon is to broaden and deepen public awareness and understanding of international affairs, engaging Oregonians with the world—and with each other. It is our calling to cultivate global citizens, creating bridge-building experiences for youth and adults. Our programs turn strangers into friends, youth into leaders, mentors into learners, and opinions into questions.

Mission statement: “To foster community spirit and provide a building for community activities.” In the late 1930's members of the Wren Community Club (WCC) built a community building with donated land, materials and volunteer labor. The original 50¢ lifetime membership fee to the Wren Community Club still stands in honor of those good folks who made this community so inviting and friendly. The Hall was used for years for community events, indoor basketball and as the local voting site. However, it fell into disuse and was finally rented out for use as an indoor horseshoe court for regional players. In 2005, the Wren Community Club decided that the Hall would better meet the communities’ needs if it were refurbished and made available to the community. Through grant funding we now have a well, running water and indoor restrooms! The kitchen has been updated, the original fir floors refinished, the lighting improved, a stage built, the building was painted and a wheelchair ramp added.  Most of this work has been accomplished by local volunteers.  Fund raising for ongoing upkeep and improvements continues and we hope that by being a participating member of the Trust it will encourage gift giving that will benefit all. The WCC fosters community spirit by maintaining the Wren Hall for local and public use.  The WCC sponsors community events i.e. dances, book club, game night, garage sales, disaster preparedness meetings, fire safety meetings, farmers markets and a Christmas market. We also have the building available to rent for private uses such as weddings and meetings.

Write Around Portland changes lives through the power of writing by bringing free creative writing workshops to prisons, shelters, senior centers, schools, hospitals and treatment facilities. 500 adults and young people participate in their workshops each year—more than 75% of whom are living below the federal poverty level. To remove obstacles to writing in community, they provide journals, pens, bus tickets, snacks and childcare.

Our mission is to hold a microphone up to the best and most distinctive of Portland. To build a culturally relevant center for ideas, music, and creativity in service of a more open media and a more just community.

The Yamhill County Cultural Coalition is one of 45 county and tribal coalitions established by the Oregon Cultural Trust to increase public participation in culture by supporting and enhancing local cultural resources. YCCC distributes funds from the Oregon Cultural Trust to organizations and individuals through an annual competitive grants process. YCCC supports programs that enliven and give access to the arts, heritage and humanities throughout Yamhill County.

We own and operate the Yaquina Pacific Railroad Museum. Our mission is to educate the public on the historical and present impact of economic development of the railroad, its people, and its machinery in Lincoln County through preservation, interpretation, and restoration.

The mission of the Yaquina River Museum of Art is to preserve, make public and promote an appreciation of the artistic expressions of the dedicated accomplished artists who have drawn their inspiration from the land and people of the Yaquina River watershed, and to honor their patrons.

Founded in 1958 as an affiliate of the country’s largest arts-in-education organization, Young Audiences (YA) has grown into the region’s primary provider of in-school arts programs. Guided by our mission—to inspire young people and expand their learning through the arts—we connect artists with students to bring powerful arts-learning experiences to more than 70,000 children in our community each year.

For over 50 years, YMA has provided young people with a unique personal experience in the visual and performing arts, where they share creative interests in a positive environment that builds confidence, enhances self-esteem and reinforces a sense of community. With two summer sessions featuring programs in music, theater, musical theater, visual arts, digital photography, dance, songwriting, and creative writing, YMA offers students in grades 4-12 memories and friendships to last a lifetime.

Stirring up lively literary arts explorations for youth in Lane County, Oregon for over twenty years, YWA welcomes Special Requests! Founder Louisa Lindsay-Sprouse is in the process of editing the rich trove of YWA projects to make them accessible to families, classroom teachers, librarians and non-school time enrichment providers.
